Dawn groaned a bit as he woke up. The female officer looked at Asta and said, "I would first record his statement and then come over to all of you."Asta nodded, and the officer made her way to Dawn’s side. Saffron stood on the other side of the bed, watching every moment of the lady. The lady nodded to Dawn and said, "Student Dawn, I am sub inspector Ashley Crowley. I am here to record your statement regarding what transpired today. Are you comfortable to talk about it?"

Dawn looked at her in a daze and asked, "What are you talking about, ma’am?"

Officer Ashley raised her brow and asked, "What is your last memory?"

Dawn pondered briefly and said, "We were all on the ground, and the instructor demonstrated some self-defense skills. He attacked me, and I dodged it with a counter. My fist hit him in the stomach, and he fell over. Then I tried to help him up, but he attacked me, and then he kicked me, and that is all I can remember."

He tried to sit up but winced; Sister Konnie said, "Kiddo, rest. Your hands are in pain. Do not be in a hurry."

Dawn nodded, and Officer Ashley continued, "Why do you think he acted like this against you?"

Dawn shrugged and replied, "I have no such troubles with any of my teachers. However, Class Monitor Trevor is always troubling me about a few things. Also, Instructor Simone is related to Class Monitor, so often I have been threatened by my class monitor with that connection."

Given how Dawn has been acting recently, Saffron did not show anything on her face. She was sure that this guy had begun his game and was making a move against Class Monitor Trevor. As expected, Officer Ashley caught the bait and asked, "Why does Class Monitor Trevor trouble you?"

Dawn gave her a self-depreciating smile and answered, "The strong do not need a reason to bully the weak. He has connections, and I do not. I cannot think of any other reason because I never really talk to my classmates, apart from Saffie and Grace."

Ashley nodded and took down the notes. She then proceeded to interrogate the three women and record Nurse Konnie’s on-the-spot medical assessment. When she was done, she said, "Student Dawn, you do not have to worry. The police will investigate the issue in detail, and you will get the justice you deserve."

Dawn nodded and said, "Thank you for your hard work, Ma’am."

Ashley gazed at him for a second and then left after greeting Asta. Dawn kept laying in his bed silently; the injuries on his body would heal with a quick circulation of spirit energy. However, he was not in a hurry to do anything about it.

Grace calmed down, and Asta said, "I will go and check on the situation outside."

The three students nodded, and Sister Konnie excused herself to get Dawn a blanket and a change of clothes from the storeroom. As soon as the elders left, Saffron asked, "What is going on?"

Dawn sat in a reflex action and replied, "I will destroy the Hymn family."

Grace was shocked by his suddenly cold expression. She could not comprehend what Dawn meant when he said he would destroy the Hymn Family. Saffron nodded and said, "What do you intend to do?"

The young man replied, "I do not have a plan; I will act according to the situation. However, I am sure that I have had enough of this group of scums hindering my peace."

Saffron was surprised, but she could see that Dawn was really angry. She asked, "I understand all that, but why did Simone suddenly become a dog?"

Dawn replied, "Because I asked him if he became Trevor’s dog for money or because he like to be fucked in his ass."

Grace was stunned as usual, but even Saffron could not fathom what Dawn said. She leaned over and grabbed his shoulders. She looked at him in the eye and asked, "What did you say?"

Dawn smiled and said, "You heard me."

Grace also asked, "What if he tells the police about this?"

Dawn looked as calm as usual and asked, "Do you think the cops will buy it? The entire scene is recorded on video, except where I asked Trevor if he wanted to continue fighting; none of you heard anything. Simone can shout his lungs out in defense but lacks evidence to support his testimony. Also, his list of offenses is quite long. All the students have suffered in his hands one way or the other."

Saffron and Grace glanced in disbelief. They could not believe that this guy tricked a teacher this easily. When they considered the matter in detail, they found that things were not as simple as they seemed to be. Dawn had planned it all from the moment Trevor snitched on him.

Saffron gulped a mouthful before saying, "I am glad you are not my enemy."

Dawn smiled jubilantly and said, "Thank you for the compliment. Now I have to ask you for something."

Saffron nodded and said, "Anything."

Dawn beckoned her close and whispered something in her ears. Saffron thought about it, and then she nodded before leaving the room quickly. Grace asked, "Where is she going?"

Dawn shook his head, and then he noticed the trail of tears on her pretty face. He did not know why, but his heart fluttered. He picked up a tissue paper from the side table and passed it to her. Confused, Grace asked him, "What is this for?"

Dawn said, "Next time, do not cry for me. I do not like it."

He was stunned by what he had just said, but for some reason, he did not feel weird doing this. Grace was surprised, too. A shallow tint of pink appeared on her fair cheeks. She took the tissue and said, "You are stupid."

Although Dawn heard this, he did not say anything about it.

Asta came back from the detention room with a frown on her face. Dawn noticed it and asked, "Ma’am, what happened?"

The lady sighed and said, "The cops have taken away Simone. They will present him to the civil court the day after tomorrow. Inspector Talon told me that you might be summoned for testifying. The case will be filed with you as a primary victim. The state will only intervene if you are not capable of handling it."

Dawn nodded and replied, "Do I need to complete any formalities?"

Asta shook her head and replied, "You are legally a ward of the state, and they will handle the most of it, but you will need to present a counsel appointment letter and a representation letter to the court. Although you do not have any family members, and you have been living alone, but I would advise you to bring your guardian to the court."

Dawn nodded and looked at Grace before asking, "Will Hannah be able to spare some time?"

Grace nodded and replied, "Yes, she will be."

Asta said, "Good, then that settles it. Dawn, do you feel any discomfort? Do you need to visit the hospital?"

Dawn shook his head and replied, "Sister Konnie has magical hands. See, the swelling on my hands is decreasing, and I do not feel much pain either."

He raised his hands to show her the effects. Asta smiled and said, "Good, it saved you the trouble to visit the hospital. She will be happy to hear that she has magic in her hands."

Sister Konnie happened to enter the room at this moment, and she said, "As much as I love compliments, I would love it more if I did not have to treat people. Kiddo, change into clean clothes, and let me check you again."

Dawn complied with her instructions, and it was evening when Sister Konnie allowed him to leave the infirmary. The old nurse told him to pay attention to his health many times, and Dawn thanked her.

Grace and Dawn came home, and the former said, "Do we still have the study group meeting tonight?"

The latter smiled and said, "You can come over after dinner. I plan to wrap up the school syllabus as soon as possible and look into my college education options."

Grace nodded and said, "Yes, it is good. Saffie will be coming over, too, right?"

Dawn chuckled and asked, "Grace, are you afraid of staying alone with me?"

Grace was stunned, and then a blush crept up on her face. Before she could say anything, a thick voice sounded from the side, "Brat, are you hitting on my daughter?"

Grace was startled and turned around to find her father, George, looking at the two of them with an ambiguous expression. While Grace was surprised and blushing, Dawn said, "Well, George, my first choice is Hannah, but she is lovesick with you. So, I thought, why not hit on the next best person?"
