Chapter 834: It's By Invitation Only
Chapter 834: It's By Invitation Only
"So who are you going to invite?" Delmare asked as we headed to school, my Siren currently being carried on my back.
"Mmm... I dunno. Everyone I know I guess?"
We were, of course, talking about my birthday party that would be happening in a few days time.
"Eh? Are you sure that's a good idea, Aster?"

"Don't worry, I already asked the other servants and they told me that they were prepared for the possibility of me inviting the entire school over, which I don't even intend to do in the first place."
"Oh... Then I guess that would be fine."
"Do you have anyone you want to invite as well?"
"Mmm... I was only thinking about Aeta and I believe you would already be inviting her, right?"
I nodded, "I know you want her to come after all so of course."
"Then I have no one else."
I turned to the side, "What about you, Odeta?"
The Amrap let out a laugh, "Wahaha! I don't really care either, Sister Aster! Maybe just those boys who thought they were better than you?"
"Well, I already intended to invite them so is there anyone else?"
"Then I don't care about anyone else."
I gave her a look, "Is it because you think no one else is strong enough for you to care?"
She thumped her chest proudly, "Of course!"
Well... I guess I shouldn't be surprised by her answer...
I then turned to the last person in our group, "What about you, Lisa?"
"Ehehehe... Aster's cum slosh, slosh... Eh?! Umm... What were we talking about?"
I narrowed my eyes at the Infrid.
She insisted that I dump another load inside her this morning and I guess my seed was still inside her which was what distracted her.
"I asked if there was anyone you want to invite to--"
"To a threesome?! Ohhhh! How I've waited for this day! I think Anna, your Iatromancy teacher, would be a good choice! Or maybe your Electromancy teacher, Arylis, would be a good choice too! Though I think she's in a relationship with your classmate, Denise... Still!
I don't think she would mind!"
I coughed, "I was asking if there was anyone you would like to invite to the birthday party..."
"Ohhh! You mean your birthday party? Hmm... Could I indulge in my... Ahem... Hobbies... During your party?"
I sighed, "Yes, you can."
Lisa... Where the heck are you?!
Well fine, you came in and said you had some business to attend to and said this would be a self study lesson instead before running off...
I bet you went to find your targets to invite to the birthday party but at least don't abandon your class like that!"
I dug through my Pack of Folding and pulled out several cards which served as an invitation to the party I would be hosting at my place.
Obviously I couldn't just tell them to go to my place since that would basically be telling them who I really was before they even got there.
The plan was that I would hand these cards out and have them all meet at a Waystone outside the city, making them think I was having an outdoor party before Felicia transports all of us to the mansion.
And of course the cards would serve as proof that they were invited to this party and people without it would not be allowed to attend.
Thus, I started handing out the invitation cards to my alchemy classmates.
I had to calm them down and assure them that there was one for everyone since their eyes suddenly turned bloodshot when they saw the cards.
I have a feeling if I didn't, it would have sparked a wild frenzy in the class.
Once all the cards were handed out, one of my female classmates raised a hand.
"Umm... Sister Aster? Are we allowed to bring companions too? Or people without an invitation are not allowed to attend?"
I gave her a wry smile, "I'm afraid I will have to restrict this to only people who have received an invitation... I'm not confident of being a good host if there are too many guests."
That was half a lie since I was certainly worried that having too many guests would ruin the party since that would mean more chances of someone doing something stupid.
But the other reason I was limiting the number was because I wasn't really sure how many I could reliably bring and still make sure the memory wipe worked.
"What should we wear? Is it a really... Umm... Fancy event?" One of the boys asked.
I realised his family wasn't really that well off so he must have realised that if it was a fancy event, he would not be able to afford participating in the party without being an embarrassment.
I waved at him, "Oh, it's alright. There isn't a dress code for this so just wear whatever you like. This is just going to be a casual get together."
He, as well as several others around me, looked quite relieved by my words.
Another one raised her hand timidly, "Sister Aster? Are you accepting gifts?"
"Oh no, no. You don't need to bother with that. Just attending the party is enough for me!"
And I'm not even lying on that part. I don't actually have a habit of expecting gifts on my birthdays. As long as the people I care about are there to celebrate it with me, that is good enough for me.
"Will there be others besides us that are going?" Another boy asked.
"I do intend to invite others as well so yes."
Eh? Why do they seem disappointed now?
Hold on, did they really think that I was only going to invite my alchemy class and no one else?
Geez, I'm pretty sure that quite a lot of other students would be quite upset if that was the case and, dare I say, a fight might even break out amongst the students.
Anyway... Is Lisa really not coming back?
