Chapter 56 A Roar Against Injustice
Chapter 56 A Roar Against Injustice
The young Kshatriya roared in anger, "You think you can make me forgive these two lowly commoners who dare to disrespect the authority of the Kshatriya with a mere pittance of gold coins? That's wishful thinking!"
His eyes turned cold, and his gaze towards Vijay was filled with hostility: "You ignorant and arrogant commoner, how dare you meddle in other people's business!"
"Guards, kill these three lowly commoners!"
Upon hearing this, everyone around gasped.
This Kshatriya is so arrogant and unreasonable!
Upon receiving the order, several golden-armored guards immediately grinned maliciously, brandishing their scimitars, and surrounded Vijay and his two teammates.
Their eyes were fierce; they only intended to follow orders and kill directly.
Vijay's eyes turned cold.
He subtly gave Bim, who was watching from the outside, a wink.
Bim, who had initially been somewhat worried and was about to join Vijay in facing the predicament, immediately understood Vijay's meaning and carefully withdrew from the crowd to find help.
As trouble was about to break out, the crowd of onlookers not only did not decrease but increased, squatting or standing and completely surrounding the area, leaving only a small circle in the center.
Vijay was thinking.
Surrender?
That definitely won't work!
Once he's imprisoned in this holy city, he'll have no chance to defend himself and will ultimately be arbitrarily charged with crimes, suffering a terrible fate even if he doesn't die.
Most importantly, that would mean completely losing control of the situation!
So, should we just run away now?
Should we take these two team members, run back to the hostel to get more people, and then leave?
There should be a slight chance!
Thinking this, two warriors, who appeared to be of different ranks, surrounded them with four guards.
The first warrior was the fiercest, charging forward with his Kanda sword raised high above his head and bringing it down with a powerful slash. The blade was sharp and whistling as it struck Vijay's head.
But perhaps it was carelessness? This samurai's moves were still too slow!
Vijay remained calm and unhurried.
Just as the blade was about to strike his head, he moved his feet, his body sliding half a step to the left like a nimble snake, precisely avoiding the blade. The blade, carrying a fierce force, grazed his shoulder and missed, striking the ground hard and sending up a spray of gravel.
The warrior used too much force and his move became overdone, causing him to lean forward and struggle to regain control.
Vijay flipped his wrist and grabbed the other man's right wrist holding the knife, his five fingers clamping down like iron pincers, and twisted it inwards suddenly!
With a soft "click," the samurai screamed in pain.
Vijay then raised his right foot and slammed it hard into the opponent's shinbone, which was covered by armor!
The heavy armor collided with the bones, but the bones did not lose; instead, they produced a dull, crisp sound like striking a stone.
The guard felt a tremendous force and could no longer stand.
Vijay used the momentum to push and shove forward, using the force against him. The warrior's massive body was instantly launched into the air, flying like a broken sack, and crashed straight down towards the Kshatriya's palanquin!
The servants carrying the sedan chair had no time to dodge and were knocked off balance, screaming and falling to the ground. The sedan chair, which had been as steady as a mountain, suddenly tilted and shook violently.
The arrogant and haughty Kshatriya was caught off guard. He stumbled and fell awkwardly from the palanquin, crashing heavily to the ground, his dignity and composure instantly shattered.
"Ah!" Kshatriya screamed in pain and rage.
The other guards, seeing this, were filled with rage and their eyes widened in fury!
For them, it was an utter disgrace to have their master humiliated in public!
The group instantly turned bloodthirsty, forming a fan-shaped encirclement and frantically attacking Vijay. They wielded their Kanda swords and scimitars simultaneously, their cold light flashing as they wove together an impenetrable net, completely sealing off all of Vijay's escape routes.
Despite the danger, Vijay remained calm and instead of retreating, he advanced, suddenly crouching low and nimbly slipping through the gap between the two intersecting blades like a cheetah.
Before the other party could return the knife, he suddenly straightened his right shoulder and slammed his elbow into the lower abdomen of a guard on his left!
The guard groaned, writhing in excruciating pain. He instantly bent over and collapsed to the ground, curling up in a ball, incapacitated.
Vijay snatched the fallen scimitar and parried it upwards with a backhand strike! With a loud clang, sparks flew, and the attack of another guard was forcefully repelled.
The blade was thrust forward, aimed directly at the guard's throat. The guard turned pale with fright, hurriedly retreated, tripped, and fell backward.
Seeing their companion fall to the ground one after another, the two guards on the right were both shocked and furious. They rushed forward in unison, aiming straight for Vijay's head and back.
Vijay, with his keen hearing and accurate judgment, suddenly pushed off the ground and leaped into the air, soaring more than three feet into the sky.
He lightly tapped his left foot on a guard's shoulder, using the momentum to leap into the air again. In mid-air, he spun around and lashed out with his right leg like a whip!
"Slap! Slap!"
Two crisp sounds rang out in succession.
The two guards were struck squarely in the face, their noses gushing blood, their heads spinning, and their staggering bodies knocked over a crowd of onlookers, sending fruits and vegetables flying everywhere.
Upon landing, Vijay remained as steady as a mountain.
The last samurai had no time to back down and seized the opportunity to pounce from behind, his scimitar aimed straight at Vijay's back. The move was ruthless and the most ferocious.
Vijay was prepared; as if his back had eyes, he suddenly leaned forward, and the scimitar grazed his back.
As Vijay ducked to dodge, he turned around and swept his scimitar across the ground, the blade striking the samurai's leg bone with pinpoint accuracy.
"Thump!" He instantly knelt down and could not stand up again.
Vijay spun around, flicked his wrist, and performed a beautiful sword flourish, while casually tidying his slightly messy hair.
The back of the blade struck the back of the neck with just the right amount of force, and the samurai fainted without uttering a sound, completely losing his ability to resist.
Putting aside the guards, these two samurai were utterly pathetic!
Is it because they don't take me seriously?
How come it feels like, even though they are both from the samurai class, their overall combat effectiveness, whether in terms of strength or speed, is less than two-thirds of that guy Sada's?
In just a dozen or so breaths.
Vijay single-handedly knocked all six armed guards to the ground, where they groaned in pain and were unable to get up.
Vijay slowly raised his head, his gaze calmly landing on the disheveled, shocked, and furious Kshatriya. His voice, though not loud, carried clearly throughout the hall: "By Brahma, esteemed Kshatriya, may you now accept the gold coins and let us go?"

Anyone could see that Vijay was now in control, but the words he spoke were not empty boasts; he was still trying to gain Kshatriya's forgiveness.
This gave the fallen Kshatriya boundless confidence.
He scrambled to his feet, not rushing forward to attack, but standing there, roaring in a fit of impotent rage: "Brahma is my witness, you're finished! How dare you lay a hand on me, a noble Kshatriya! You and your caravan won't escape!"
