Chapter 443 443: Iwagakure's Defense
Chapter 443 443: Iwagakure's Defense
After chatting with Ino and the others for a moment, Kitazawa went to find Nara Shikaku. He handed him the task of taking control of the Land of Water.
Shikaku, being highly intelligent, immediately understood. Kitazawa was no longer willing to remain under the control of the Five Great Nations.
Clearly, although both were called Gods of the Ninja World, his approach was different from that of Senju Hashirama.
Nara Shikaku naturally had no objections. Because it was a good thing for ninjas. Especially for the Nara Clan, who would benefit greatly.
Governing the Ninja World required manpower. The highly intelligent Nara Clan was extremely suitable for such tasks.
In fact, being confined only within Konoha Village had long prevented the Nara Clan from fully utilizing their talents.
Now that their scope had expanded to the Five Great Nations and even the entire Ninja World, they could finally display their abilities completely.
After finishing his discussion with Nara Shikaku, Kitazawa headed to the temporary Konoha outpost in the Land of Waterfall.
The Land of Waterfall was the battlefield where Konoha Village and Iwagakure were currently fighting.
Kitazawa did not go to see Hyuga Hiashi and the others. Instead, he returned directly to his own tent.
One reason was that it was already very late. The second reason was that he was here merely as a spectator.
As for the bet with Terumī Mei, it had only happened because a related system mission had been triggered.
Otherwise, he would not have interfered.
"White Zetsu." Kitazawa thought for a moment before calling out.
A moment later, White Zetsu walked into the tent.
"Spread the news of the Hidden Mist Village's defeat," Kitazawa instructed.
"Also, summarize the battle situation between the Second Ninja Unit and Iwagakure and give it to me tomorrow morning."
"Yes, Hokage-sama." White Zetsu bowed slightly before burrowing into the ground and disappearing.
As soon as he left, Konan appeared in front of Kitazawa.
"Why are you wearing that outfit?" Kitazawa glanced at her Anbu clothes and asked with a smile.
"I'll change right now." Konan paused slightly and asked, "What do you want me to wear?"
"Wear a maid outfit." Kitazawa thought briefly before answering.
He had given Konan many clothes before, and a maid's outfit was one of them.
Konan nodded and began removing her Anbu clothing. Her fair figure came into view.
Kitazawa watched openly. Although he had seen it many times before, he still found it striking.
Konan then took out a white maid outfit. Along with it were white stockings, white cat ears, and a white tail accessory.
The set was quite complete.
Soon, Konan finished changing. The originally cool and elegant woman suddenly gained a hint of playful charm.
Konan looked at Kitazawa. She slowly lowered herself onto all fours. The tail behind her swayed slightly.
Konan crawled forward until she was in front of Kitazawa and raised her head.
She stuck out her pink tongue, licked the back of her hand, and softly meowed.
"So obedient." Kitazawa could not help but laugh.
He reached out and gently stroked her head. Konan tilted her head and rubbed her cat ears against his arm.
Kitazawa felt a faint tickle on his arm. But even more than that, his impatience began to grow.
He lowered his head, cupped Konan's face, and kissed her soft lips. Konan's lips soon glistened with a faint sheen.
Kitazawa traced her lips with his finger.
Konan's expression remained calm. Only a faint hint of charm flickered within her eyes.
Kitazawa withdrew his hand and leaned backward. He lay down on the rug.
Konan crawled into his arms using both her hands and feet. She sat up and looked down at him.
Kitazawa let out a deep breath and closed his eyes. He reached out and squeezed Konan's hips twice.
The white stockings only reached her thighs, leaving the fullness of her hips clearly felt in his hands.
Konan let out a soft groan.
Her legs tightened, and strands of her purple-blue hair clung messily to her face. Her fair skin also flushed red.
After a long time, Konan leaned toward Kitazawa, suppressing her fatigue.
"Remember to wake up early tomorrow." Kitazawa stroked her head. "Good night."
Konan hummed softly and closed her eyes.
Kitazawa felt her soft and warm skin and soon fell asleep as well.
A new day arrived.
It was still January, yet the climate of the Land of Waterfall was very different from that of the Land of Fire.
A warm and humid atmosphere filled the tent.
Kitazawa opened his eyes. He felt his breathing falter slightly and frowned. He instinctively looked toward Konan, who was moving her head.
She was half-kneeling on the rug, her white-stockinged thighs full and firm.
Her raised hips and gently swaying cat tail created a sudden shift in the atmosphere. Yet what remained unchanged was her indescribable allure.
Kitazawa never expected that one day he would experience something like the treatment of an anime protagonist.
He relaxed his body, closed his eyes again, and rested for a while longer.
Konan looked at him with slightly hazy eyes before lowering her head again.
It was not until a knock sounded at the door that she puffed out her cheeks and rolled her eyes.
"Konan, go wash up first." Kitazawa had taken a short rest and now felt refreshed.
"Mm." Konan's throat moved slightly as she responded.
Kitazawa raised his hand and activated Yomotsu Hirasaka. A black portal appeared.
"Go back to your dorm." Kitazawa reminded her. "I'll open the portal for you again in half an hour."
Konan nodded and stepped into the portal.
After changing his clothes, Kitazawa walked out of the tent.
He always set up a barrier inside the tent before sleeping.
"Hokage-sama." White Zetsu appeared and immediately handed him a scroll. "This is the information you requested."
Kitazawa accepted the scroll and waved his hand.
White Zetsu immediately sank into the ground and disappeared.
Kitazawa returned to the tent.
Konan was washing up, which would take some time. Ignoring that for the moment, he opened the scroll and began reading.
The scroll contained reports about the recent battles between the Second Ninja Unit and Iwagakure.
The situation was progressing relatively smoothly. However, Iwagakure's response was considered the strongest among the four ninja villages.
This was because Iwagakure ninja specialized in Earth Release. They had used Earth Release techniques to construct four extremely sturdy strongholds.
Combined with three thousand Iwagakure ninja stationed in each fortress, Konoha's advance had slowed somewhat.
At present, only two of the strongholds had been breached.
One of them had fallen because of Hyuga Neji's Tenseigan. The other had been destroyed through Haku's Six-Tails power.
However, "slow" was only relative. In reality, the progress was already extremely fast.
After all, the Fourth Great Ninja War had been going on for less than half a month.
After finishing the report, Kitazawa became curious about Iwagakure's strongholds. He wanted to see what kind of fortress could slow down Konoha's advance.
Kitazawa put away the scroll.
Half an hour later, he used Yomotsu Hirasaka again, and Konan reappeared.
She had changed out of the maid outfit and into a secretary uniform with black stockings, giving her a completely different style.
Konan looked at him without speaking and took out a bento box.
Kitazawa opened it and saw freshly made rice balls inside. He smiled.
"Have you eaten?" Kitazawa asked.
"No." Konan took out another bento box.
Clearly, she intended to have breakfast together with him.
"Then let's eat together." Kitazawa reached out and grabbed her black-stockinged thigh as he spoke.
Konan nodded. She knelt on the rug, her black-stockinged thighs bending beneath her.
Kitazawa, unaccustomed to kneeling, simply sat directly on the rug without any formality.
As soon as he sat down, Konan picked up a rice ball and held it out to him.
"Thank you." Kitazawa took a bite and said, "You don't have to feed me."
Konan didn't answer. She placed the remaining half of the rice ball into her own mouth. After finishing it, she licked her red lips.
"Eat properly." Kitazawa glared at her when he saw this.
Konan lowered her head and obediently ate the rice ball, no longer making any teasing gestures.
Breakfast ended quickly.
Kitazawa handed the bento box back to her.
Konan put it away and looked at him.
"Let's go take a look at the Iwagakure stronghold." Kitazawa stood up and stretched out his hands.
Seeing this, Konan walked up and hugged him. Kitazawa casually squeezed her soft buttocks twice.
Yomotsu Hirasaka! Kitazawa's eyes widened.
A black portal appeared before him. He picked up Konan and stepped into it.
When they reappeared, they were already high in the air. With Kitazawa's current strength, he could float in the air simply by using Chakra.
Not to mention that he also possessed Magnet Release, the Rinnegan, and the Tenseigan.
Feeling the softness in his arms, Kitazawa looked down at the Iwagakure stronghold below.
Konan was holding him tightly, their bodies pressed close enough that their heartbeats seemed to touch.
Kitazawa glanced downward and couldn't help twitching his mouth.
A massive dome-shaped structure came into view. It resembled a thick earthen eggshell.
The stronghold was completely enclosed within it.
Activating his Byakugan, Kitazawa observed that the outer shell was at least thirty meters thick.
It was indeed impressive that Konoha's Second Ninja Unit had managed to capture two such strongholds in less than half a month.
Of course, there was another reason.
Hyuga Neji had not continuously used his full power. If Neji activated Tenseigan Chakra Mode at full strength, he could break through the shell.
But the problem was the enormous Chakra consumption.
Moreover, three thousand Iwagakure ninja inside the shell were constantly supplying Chakra to maintain it.
Even Neji would need several days of rest after conquering one stronghold.
However, Iwagakure's efforts were ultimately futile. It was only a matter of time before Konoha won this war.
Kitazawa thought for a moment and opened another portal, arriving at Iwagakure's main camp.
It had the same shape, but the shell was another ten meters thicker. Additionally, several white birds were flying in the sky.
Kitazawa immediately realized they were not real birds, but clay creations.
They were undoubtedly Deidara's work.
Because of the butterfly effect caused by Kitazawa, Deidara had been recalled to Iwagakure earlier by Ōnoki.
Thus, he avoided the fate of joining Konoha with the Akatsuki.
Kitazawa looked around and noticed numerous traps left by Deidara. Clearly, capturing Iwagakure's main camp would not be an easy task.
With both Ōnoki and Deidara present, the main camp possessed strong offensive and defensive capabilities.
In terms of top-tier fighters, Iwagakure even surpassed Kumogakure.
For example, Ōnoki, Kitsuchi, and Deidara.
Ōnoki, as the Third Tsuchikage, possessed Dust Release, one of the most destructive techniques among Kage-level ninjutsu.
Kitsuchi, his son, had already shown Kage-level ability in the original story.
He had once punched the Tailed Beast transformed Kinkaku away and temporarily suppressed both the Gedo Mazo and the Ten-Tails with Earth Release.
Deidara currently lacked major battle records.
However, in the original story, his battle against Gaara had demonstrated considerable strength.
Kumogakure's only top-tier fighters had been the Fourth Raikage A and Killer Bee.
But Killer Bee, the Eight-Tails Jinchuriki, had already been captured. That left the Fourth Raikage to fight alone.
Even so, Kitazawa still had no intention of intervening. Because the Second Ninja Unit had not yet reached its limits.
Neji had not used his full power, and neither had Might Guy.
Kitazawa carried Konan back to the tent.

Meanwhile, at Iwagakure's temporary outpost—
Ōnoki, Kitsuchi, Akatsuchi, Kurotsuchi, Deidara, and several other ninja were gathered together.
They had just received the latest intelligence about the Hidden Mist Village.
After a night of White Zetsu spreading the news, word of the Hidden Mist's surrender had already spread throughout the Ninja World.
"Now Iwagakure is the only one left." Akatsuchi frowned deeply as he spoke.
"This was expected," Kurotsuchi replied in a low voice.
Although she was young, her personality was calm and steady.
Combined with her good talent and strength, Ōnoki had personally taken her under his guidance.
"Even Kumogakure was defeated. It's no surprise the Hidden Mist also fell." Ōnoki said with a grave expression.
"So what?" Deidara snorted coldly. "I can't wait to show Konoha my Art of Explosion!"
"Deidara is right!" Kurotsuchi nodded. "Are we supposed to surrender?"
"We can only fight Konoha Village to the end!" Ōnoki clenched his fist unconsciously.
He remembered the distant past again—when Uchiha Madara had defeated him and his teacher, the Second Tsuchikage Mū.
No matter what happened, he could not surrender like the Hidden Mist Village.
"We might not necessarily lose." Kitsuchi analyzed calmly. "The most troublesome enemies in Konoha's Second Ninja Unit are Hyuga Neji and Haku."
Because of Hinata's fame, the Tenseigan had already drawn the attention of the leadership of many ninja villages.
And when Neji used the Tenseigan during the earlier assault on Iwagakure's stronghold, they had witnessed its terrifying power.
As for Haku, he was the Six-Tails Jinchuriki. They were all very familiar with the power of Jinchuriki.
"But… Konoha Village doesn't only have the Second Ninja Unit." Akatsuchi spoke with concern.
"From what we can see, Konoha probably won't send more ninja." Kitsuchi thought for a moment before replying.
"But if we defeat the Second Ninja Unit, Konoha will definitely send more ninja," Akatsuchi added.
"Then we won't give them the chance." Kitsuchi exhaled slowly. "After defeating the Second Ninja Unit, we'll immediately negotiate with Konoha."
Ōnoki and the others were slightly surprised. But they quickly understood Kitsuchi's thinking.
If the war continued, Iwagakure's defeat would eventually become inevitable. But if they defeated Konoha's Second Ninja Unit, two things would happen.
First, it would prove Iwagakure's strength. If Konoha continued the war, they would have to pay a heavy price.
Second, it would preserve Iwagakure's dignity. After all, negotiating after a victory was very different from negotiating after a crushing defeat.
The difference between the two outcomes was enormous. As for whether Konoha would actually agree to negotiations, Kitsuchi did not know.
But Iwagakure had no choice except to try their best.
