Veronica Ziegler’s eyes widened. "Magnus, how can you say that? Alistair is here to help you."
"Help my ass!"
Magnus York’s anger was plain to see.
He looked genuinely furious.
"Such vulgar language.
She’s right, you know. I am indeed here to help."
Alistair White said with a satisfied smile,
"After all, you only have twenty-one people left.
TSK TSK TSK. How did you let yourselves get into such a pathetic state?"
Behind Alistair White, including Ian Logan and the others, stood a group of over a hundred people.
"Hey, Lawson! Weren’t you guys so tough?
You were dawdling, refusing to share your supplies. But Mr. White here just saved us and gave us supplies directly.
We’re loyal people, so naturally, we’re going to work for Mr. White now."
Ian Logan said with a gloating expression.
Alistair White then turned his gaze to Nina Jacobs.
"It seems I underestimated you before. Where are your companions?
Did you kill them?"
Alistair White had previously thought Nina Jacobs was just some loudmouth, never imagining she was such a formidable Intermediate Dual Element Superpower User.
"You two know each other?" Magnus York asked.
"I’m sure you’re not aware, but she was sent by Oceane Sutton," Alistair White replied.
"Oceane Sutton?"
Magnus York stared in shock at the woman before him, Summer Warner.
’Could it be that bastard Trey Windslow?’
He and Trey Windslow didn’t get along, and he had done everything in his power to keep Trey from joining this operation.
Oceane Sutton was a staunch supporter of Trey Windslow in certain matters.
’So she sent someone to help Trey Windslow seize the Mystic Ice Core?’
"Who is Oceane Sutton?"
"I’ve never heard that name before."
Nina Jacobs said, feigning confusion.
’Alistair White is clearly wary of me, but why would I let him get his way so easily?’
"You and your accomplice clearly said you were Oceane Sutton’s people before! We all heard you!"
Winslow hadn’t expected this woman, who seemed so gullible, to be so cunning.
’If she denies it, given the rivalry between Magnus York and Alistair White, Magnus will definitely suspect Alistair.’

Sebastian Lynch shot back.
"Magnus, I think we’ve all been deceived by her. Just yesterday, she appeared at the base of that cliff with several others, repeatedly claiming they were sent by Oceane Sutton for the Mystic Ice Core."
Alistair White said as he walked over.
’This woman definitely has ulterior motives.’
"Say what you will. I’m only here for Beast Cores and to find my missing companion."
Having said her piece, Summer Warner offered no further explanation.
"No wonder she was digging up Beast Cores just now."
Ben Lawson also found Summer Warner’s words more convincing.
After all, no matter how you looked at it, these two powerful Superpower Users didn’t seem like people who could be ordered around by Oceane Sutton.
"Eryx Rhodes, you liaised with Trey Windslow for a while. Did Oceane Sutton have these two in her ranks?"
Magnus York asked.
Eryx Rhodes shook his head with certainty. "Absolutely not."
He had never even seen these two people before, let alone worked with them.
The answer was obvious.
A smile touched Nina Jacobs’s lips.
’Of course they’ve never seen us. We really don’t work for Oceane Sutton.’
"Alistair White, I don’t know what your goal is. Don’t tell me you just can’t stand to see someone helping me?"
Magnus York retorted.
Although Summer Warner had been watching the show from inside her protective barrier, he had to admit that if it weren’t for her, they wouldn’t have been sure they could survive.
"Whatever. Believe what you want."
It was the first time Alistair White had ever felt so unable to argue his case.
He had seen how formidable this Dual Element Superpower User was and had wanted to join forces with Magnus York to eliminate her first. He never expected to become the object of suspicion himself.
’It was all that Summer Warner’s fault for being too cunning.’
Magnus York walked over to Summer Warner. "May I have a word?"
Summer Warner pretended to hesitate before nodding.
"I suppose we got off on the wrong foot. My apologies for my earlier hostility."
Magnus York said.
He was at a disadvantage now. Alistair White was capable of anything, and the only one he could ally with was the powerful Summer Warner.
That Wayne Warner seemed to be a mute and obeyed Summer Warner completely.
"As long as you’re aware. To be honest, I was also curious why you all came here. Could it be that you’re also after Beast Cores?"
After Nina Jacobs spoke, Magnus York quickly denied it.
"Of course not. If you’re willing to help me, I have plenty of Beast Cores that I can give you for free."

Magnus York replied.
Nina Jacobs just smiled.
’Once they actually find the Mystic Ice Core, the first thing they’ll do is probably try to eliminate me.’
"Fine, I’ll trust you. But I want to see the Beast Cores first."
Nina Jacobs said.
"Done."
Magnus York immediately called over Eryx Rhodes.
Eryx Rhodes looked surprised after hearing the order, but he still immediately produced a box of Beast Cores from his pocket dimension.
Nina Jacobs nodded.
"It’s a shame my Space Element companion is missing. For now, you can hold on to these for me. But if you try to back out on our deal after this is all over, don’t blame us for what happens next."
She said, feigning a threat.
"Of course. Don’t worry, Miss Warner. These are nothing."
Eryx Rhodes replied hastily.
’Who would care about these useless Beast Cores?’
’This Summer Warner is powerful, but she’s a bit of an idiot.’
"If I may ask, Miss Warner, what do you need these Beast Cores for?"
Magnus York asked probingly.
Nina Jacobs put on a mysterious air and said, "Don’t ask what you shouldn’t. I have my own uses for them."
In truth, she didn’t have much use for the Beast Cores, but if she asked for nothing, these people would never trust her.
"Understood."
Magnus York asked no more questions and turned to give orders to his people.
"Magnus, do you really trust her?"
Alistair White asked with a frown.
"Am I supposed to trust you instead?"
Magnus York sneered.
He was more inclined to believe that Alistair White couldn’t wait for him to die.
"Then I hope you don’t regret it."
Alistair White knew that there was definitely something wrong with Summer Warner and Wayne Warner.
He glanced at Summer Warner, who met his gaze with a smile in her eyes.
Her look was brimming with provocation.
"Let’s move out, then. From here on, it’s every man for himself."
Magnus York didn’t want to waste any more time.
Their next destination was obvious: the place where the Mutated Animals had appeared.
He had to find the Mystic Ice Core before Alistair White did!
"Mr. White, why don’t we go all the way and just kill those two?"
Ian Logan sidled up to Alistair White and suggested.
"Good idea. Why don’t you give it a try?"
Alistair White shot Ian Logan a sidelong glance.
Ian Logan felt a wave of embarrassment. He was indeed eager to prove his worth, having heard that the organizations Magnus York and Alistair White belonged to offered excellent benefits.
But he had also just witnessed the power of Wayne and Summer Warner with his own eyes.
